Photographer Peter Menzel started this intriguing series of one weeks of groceries from around the world. In a culture that is food obsessed (admit it, you just posted a pick of your lunch on instagram didn't you?) it's interesting to check out what the rest of the world is eating!

I love this series of Ink Blobs made by Nicole from my class. They are playful and carefree and remind me that I shouldn't take myself so seriously. I'm taking a painting class right now, and I'm not very happy with the results of my work yet! Maybe I should just add some happy faces and call it a day.

I want to be on the path that leads to awesome. You have just been pep talked! Create something awesome. Have a great weekend all.

At the end of a long day I sometimes need a good laugh! Or just a little one inside your head.

Do you get it?

Honey I Shrunk the Kids
One of my favorite movies growing up was "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids". The idea of being able small enough to sit on a cheerio, or sliding down a blade of grass never failed to excite me. Even to this day when I walk by a particularly beautiful poppy that blooms on my street, I imagine that I could wear is as a dress. Christopher Boffoli, a self-taught photographer from Seattle, was also inspired by such movies. He explains that as a child you are already out of proportion with the adult world around you. His images capture this juxtaposition of different scales.

Now where did I leave my shrinking machine?

Is Fashion Week in New York really as glamorous as it appears to be? I've always wanted to witness it for myself, but I haven't had the chance. As I designer, I always got a lot of inspiration from fashion. I looked at lines, colours, patterns and silhouettes. As budding photographers/artists/designers you can be inspired the creativeness of these designers who execute their vision expertly. Even if you don't love fashion, you can still take away a lot from fashion week!
